India’s First AI Stock Screener is Here—But Is It Any Good?
An honest take on using FYERS Intelligent Assistant (FIA) for stock screening—real examples, real benefits, no hype.
FYERS Intelligent Assistant (FIA) – AI-Powered Stock Screener
FYERS Intelligent Assistant (FIA)—India’s first AI-powered stock screener that lets you find stocks quickly using simple chat-based commands. No more complex filters, no more manual effort—just type what you need, and FIA does the rest.
But here’s the thing: FIA is powerful, but it’s not magic. It has limitations, and knowing how to use it correctly will decide whether it helps you or just becomes another tool you ignore.
I have tested 6 Prompts and compared the results in both FIA & ChartInk Scanner to show how each of them has applied its logic in filtering stocks:
Prompt 1 - List stocks with the highest price gain in the last 1 month
Stock by FIA:
I have tried the same prompt in Chartink, and the logic charting is actually not what we want. It just filters all stocks that crossed a one-month high and filters gainers on that day (it's not what we are looking for). The logic created by FIA above looks valid.
Prompt 2 - Find stocks with the highest volume surge in the last 1 month.
Stock by FIA:
For the same prompt, Chartink logic could not get any results.
Prompt 3 - Give me stocks with the highest volume spike in the last 3 trading sessions.
For this prompt FIA could not generate any results.
Here is the result from ChartInk for the same prompt.
Prompt 4 - Find stocks trading above 200 DMA with increasing volume in the last 1 week.
Stock by FIA:
I tested the same Prompt in Chartink, and here is the result.
Prompt 5 - Show me midcap FMCG stocks with the highest gains in the last 1 month.
Stock by FIA: 1 FMCG stock got filtered.
For this Prompt, Chartink generated only 1 stock, but the main issue is that Chartink could not filter FMCS stocks in its logic.
Finally, I tried a prompt with Open Interest, which worked well in FI,A but Chartink could not process the logic that has OI in it
Here are 4 more prompts for you to test in FIA
1. “List stocks with more than 10% gain in the last month and higher-than-average volume.”
(Perfect to catch recent outperformers backed by strong participation)
2. “Show me top price gainers in the banking sector in the last 5 minutes.”
(Great for momentum intraday trades, especially sector-focused)
3. “List top gainers among small-cap stocks in the last week.”
(A good filter to identify short-term breakout opportunities in smaller stocks)
4. “Find stocks from the IT sector that gained over 5% in the last 7 days.”
(To catch short-term winners in specific sectors)
Key Features of FIA:
🔹 AI-Powered Chat Interface – Instead of manually setting filters, you can type natural-language commands like “Show me stocks above 200-day moving average with high volume”, and FIA will generate a list instantly.
🔹 Pre-Built and Custom Screeners – FIA comes with pre-designed screeners for momentum, value, growth, and technical strategies. But if you want something more specific, you can create a custom screener with multiple parameters.
🔹 Real-Time Stock Filtering – Unlike traditional stock screeners that refresh periodically, FIA provides live screening based on market data. This helps intraday traders make quick decisions.
🔹 Sector & Market-Wide Analysis – You can filter stocks across NSE and BSE by industry, sector, or market cap. Want to find strong stocks in the banking sector? Just ask FIA.
🔹 Technical & Fundamental Filters – Whether you're a technical trader or a fundamental investor, FIA covers both. You can filter stocks based on moving averages, RSI, MACD, volume, PE ratio, ROE, debt-to-equity, and more.
🔹 User-Friendly & No Coding Required – Unlike complex stock screeners that require coding, FIA works like a chatbot where you just type what you need, and it provides results instantly.

Does FIA really help Traders?
Yes, but only if the traders can understand the real logic on how it’s filtering stocks, If you could not understand that logic and blindly go by stock results, then it won’t help you.
Don’t expect it to do everything for you, but use it for what it’s meant to do - quickly filter stocks so you can focus on actual trading.
Give it a try and see if it improves your stock selection process.
See you soon,
